DKV TRIO – Schl8hof

One of the leading US jazz trios, based in Chicago, led by composer and saxplayer Ken Vandermark, came together in mid-90s and released several cds to great critical acclaim. Here they are joined at the Brötzmann-curated festival in Wels, Austria 2011 by their European comrades from THE THING and ZU. Very intense, very passionate music. The CD has a trio piece and two sextet pieces, the vinyl version is just full force sextet.
